Light the Night... A New Halloween Outreach
Opportunity on October 31, 2019

This year we are changing our approach to outreach for Halloween. For years we have taken a "come to us" approach with our Trunk or Treat. This has been a great event for many years. This year we are taking a "go and tell" approach to our halloween outreach with Light the Night!

Light the Night is a safe and fun night of games and treats hosted by Temple members in homes throughout our community. It's a way for us to connect, more personally, with our friends and neighbors who will be out going door-to-door on Oct. 31.

There are 2 ways you can get involved in Light the Night. Option 1 is to simply distribute items from our church, along with your own halloween candy. This is outlined below. Option 2 is to host an event in your front yard on Oct. 31 from 6-8pm. As you will see below, we help provide all the resources for a spectacular night, along with some volunteers to help host your event! So, it's not all on you!

Option 1: For Your Front Door

An easy way to share the Gospel and invite others to Temple
Temple Provides:

  • Mini keychain flash lights with our Temple logo to distribute
  • Glow-in-the-Dark Necklaces
  • Gospel Tracts
  • Invitations to Temple to Distribute with Your Candy

Option 2: For Your Front Yard

A Fun Setup in Your Own Front Yard
Temple Provides:

  • All of Option 1 plus a couple of yard games to enjoy with your neighbors.
  • 1 yard sign to promote your event in your community
  • Popcorn to distribute
  • Candy to distribute
  • A few volunteers to help host your event.

If you are interested in participating in Light the Night, please click HERE to complete a registration form. Our children's pastor, Pastor Trent, will follow up with you with more details. Please register by Sunday, Oct. 20 to participate. For more questions, contact Pastor Trent at 910-483-7620 or by email at

WE ALSO NEED YOUR HELP IN COLLECTING INDIVIDUALLY WRAPPED CANDIES FOR OUR HOST HOMES FOR "LIGHT THE NIGHT!" There is an collection bin at the welcome center to drop off your bags of candy.

Please join us in praying for this new outreach opportunity. We are excited to see what God does as we serve our community in this way!
